Anyone know interesting ways to style curly hair?

I don't spend too much time messing with my hair in the morning, in the a.m. i go for function, not form so im usually a pony-tail kinda girl because my hair is just an army of shoulder length, cork screw curls. I like the way it looks when its straight but to do that takes me about an hour and a prof stylist about 30 min... So an interesting ';do'; that isn't too much hastle but looks nice and can be worn a little more regularly (i still like my pony tale)Anyone know interesting ways to style curly hair?

My hair is like yours, only longer. I am afraid to cut it short. I am down hair one day, ponytail the next. If I was ever going to get it cut shorter, I wouldn't do it without the advice and hand holding of my stylist who has been giving me trims and touch up color for five years now. I hope you get some good answers here!

Not too sure how well it works. It could whip out curls fast but the curls might not last very long.
