How do you style curly hair?

i have lovely curly hair but i never know how to style it.I have it up and down and sometimes a hairband but i need more ideas. I'm getting a bit bored. The suggestions have to be easy to do and suitable for every day life. Thanks a lot and i really appreciate it.

ask them for something u can do at home n they'll give u something nice

if u don't want to go just to get it styled, jsut ask them to style it after the next time u get it cut

Mines curly. Its past shoulder length, cut in layers and I just put curling spray on it to stop it going frizzy. I'm not saying its the best style but its an easy one if you don't want to spend too much time on your hair.
Yes layered is great! also for something more elegant, use some leave in conditioner, then part your hair from ear to ear. leave the bottom down, and twist the top into a bun. it looks great.

TRESS (or something like that) gel. It comes in a purple bottle. Just put some in the palms of your hands and flip your hair over (after you take a shower so its wet) then scrunch it. to get the curls more separate I don't brush my hair after I get out of the shower (but just before I get in of course!) I find that brushing it afterwards separates all my strands and makes it look gross after the gel has been put in.

I think it's pretty just left down but not frizzy...you could always have it relaxed too so it can be more manageable

My hair is curly too. I always wear it down, but not frizzy. I make my curls look good and tght not loose and wild. I use a lot of mousse and gel.

I have really tight curly hair that's in layers and a little past my shoulders.





I style it by wetting it first, then products, and let it dry naturally.





I have to do this because in the morning my hair is messy and poofy and frizzy.

well, i have naturally curly hair but i take about 30 minutes every morning to straighten it. . . which totally fries you hair.


so for another option, scrunching.


it works great and looks so cute. on times when i don't have time do straighten it i get my hair damp and put in garnier surf hair which is at any drugs stores or walmarts and its its in a green container. it keeps your hair looking wet. and then i run mouse through it with my fingers spray it and im ready to go. tell me how it works!!
Whip out a curling iron, since your curls are small I would get a small barrelled iron so in the morning you can simply run it through your hair and tame some of your curls and still look good. I have curly hair too, mine are loose but I have to wash my hair everyday so it'll look decent. That or straighten it.
My hair is the exact same. And I mean the exact same. I hat it sooooooo much!!!! You can't do anything with it. It's annoying. I do the same thing you do, but sometimes I straighten it. I'd love to straighten it all the time, but then it would get even more frizzy, so i just deal with it.
smoothing it back into a messy bun is always cute when you're in a hurry, with a headband to keep the flyaways in check. or use a straightener or big curling iron to make it looser, but that can take a while if its really thick, like mine is.
shower at night, then put like a non frizzy product in it...garnier fructis has really good stuff (sleek and shine strong hold) and then go to bed, when you get up, do whatever you need to do with your hair..mine is the same way, and i just got it cut really short...

I have curly/wavy hair and what works best for me is the Sunsilk product line called Waves of Envy. It really does give you soft waves and none of that sticky feeling. The shampoo/conditioner works well.

well i have curly hair and i haven't found a product that gives me waves but i like the Tresemme curly products and i actually just started using the Marc Anthony curly haired products. all don't give me sticky residue, i dont use gels or much mouse because they tend to make my hair sticky. creams work really well!
After you wash your hair, let it air dry for about 15 min. Then use a straightening spray that's activated by heat on your hair. Then blow dry it.


Start by blow drying it upside down then gently flip it over and blow dry it downward. (from the top of your head, down)


This will make it wavy without complete straightness.


Then put a little gel in your hair to hold it in place.





Another way is to straighten your hair then curl it with your straightner.


After straightened, take a 1in wide, 1in thick peice of hair in your hand.


take the straightner to the top of your piece of hair, clamp it and turn it 90 degrees. While keeping it at an angle, SLOWLY, bring the straightener down your hair. It looks amazing. Hope i helped.

i use a frizz spray, like frize ease, then i use garnier fructis smoothing milk, and then i use hair spray from herbal essence.
Tresemme is EXCELLENT! It's pretty expensive, but it works really well.
I HAVE WURLY HAIR TOO!!! :D if u find a product like that let me know.

well you could part it to the side like taylor does, or like, well i have curls too and i wear it half up half down a lot....... good news is as long as you keep it unfrizzy almost anything works!
