Does hair wax slow down or stop hair growth?

I recently had my hair cut really short (#3 on the top, #1 on the back and sides) I'm having to use hair wax to keep the top flat and not fluffy. The sides and back seem to be growing but not the top.Does hair wax slow down or stop hair growth?
im trying to grow my hair a bit longer the now, and it wasnt growing much atall when i was using wax, but i have changed to this stuff thats called fudge hair gum ( http://www.bathandunwind.com/img/products/3336.jpg ) and its just as good as wax (i think anyway). and my hair has been growing fine now, but hair does only grow roughly an inch every month but its worth a shot trying this stuff, it works for me?Does hair wax slow down or stop hair growth?
I hope not!! My bf uses it lol. I would switch to a 'pomade'. Its like wax but with a softer touch. So much easier to get out too!! To go and buy some it will say Pomade on the label, or open it up and it should be almost like a really thick whipped cream.
No that cannot make your hair stop growing, Your hair grows deep within your scalp. The wax could be damaging your hair causing breakage, but I've never known a wax to do that. It could just be your sides grow in faster then the top.
stop using hair wax.
