Try Creme of Nature Shampoo. Consider using products that have Keratin in it. Back when people had Jheri Curls, the Keratin in the curl activator made their hair grow quickly. Parnevu leave-in hair conditioner is also very good. It has a custard-like texture that absorbs well and is not greasy.
If you don't have a perm, don't get one. Keep your hair braided or natural and keep it oiled. Keep the ends clipped. There are a lot of products that are supposed to make your hair grow, but I don't know about any that will work over the summer to make it really long. My hair is a few inches above my butt, but I've been growing it for quite a few years.
