HELP- bad haircut, anything to speed up hair growth?

so i trusted someone else to take my dog, a female australian shepherd, to the groomer. i said just a bath ears cleaned teeth brushed nails clipped and trim where ever is needed, of course with my luck they cut everywhere to where the hair is an inch or less long. she looks horrrrrrrrrrribleeeeeeee. is there anything i can give her to speed up her hair growth? like biotin or another type of vitamin or supplement.HELP- bad haircut, anything to speed up hair growth?
Sorry but you will have to wait until your dog sheds out all of the cut hair and grows in new hair. Supplements won't help. It may take as long as next spring's shedding season to be completed before your dog looks normal again.





BTW if you don't brush your dog's teeth at home, it is a waste of money to pay someone else to do it once every 4 to 8 weeks or longer. Legally, a groomer can only clean the ears as far as he or she can see, which isn't very much. You may want to do more at home, maybe with one of those foaming ear cleaners.





Next time, send a note along with the dog if you can't go yourself. In the note you may want to specify: bath, ears cleaned, sanitary trim, trim feet, trim nails. Most groomers include all of that automatically in the price of the bath but if yours doesn't then list what you want done. You might also list NO HAIRCUT on body, head or legs.HELP- bad haircut, anything to speed up hair growth?
I have kept long haired German Shepard's for many years as well as cats, there is not to my knowledge any specific lotion or potion to make their hair grow faster. You cold try corn oil on her food, about 1 tablespoon per feed, this wont make the hair grow faster but will make her coat smoother and more glossy as it will help put natural oils into fur and stop it looking so dry.





The best advice I can give you is one change your groomer and two never trust someone else with such an important task unless they love the dog as much as you do; i have actually taken time off work to take my dog to the groomer, that is until I was confident enough to do it myself.
WOW...thats awful. Sadly i dont think there is anything that you can do but wait. OH ....lol....got any hair extensions?? just kidding
