Ok so my hair is bleached, ill admitt I've bleached it quite alot. Its not hugely damaged just around the fringe area mostly but i trimmed it a bit yesterday. During the summer holidays I've decided I'm only going to straighten my hair if I have to go to a party. I think theres a possiblity of about 2 in the 6 weeks I have. I would really like my hair to be about 5 inches longer, at the moment its currently in line with my collar bone, just. It never really seems to grow that much past my collar bone apart from when I dont straighten it but as soon as I do it seems to go back to its original length.
Does anybody know of any products I can use around the house to make my hair grow more or any products I can buy in Superdrug or Boots? Or anything else I can do, e.g massaging the scalp.
Thanks to you all.Help with hair growth problems? :)?
I had really damaged hair and used hair extensions for a year my hair is now in really good condition but I must say i doubt your hair will grow 5 inches within a few weeks.
My hair grew only 4 inches in the space of a year because it was so damaged.
Here is a few tips that might help
Don't put any heat on your hair so no hairdryer, straighteners etc (unless you absolutely 'need' to)
Always use a leave in conditioner (I recommend BedHead)
Use a shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair
Stop bleaching your hair, if your roots need done only colour your roots you should only be colouring your full head around every 6 months to avoid damage
Eat protein and take a vitamin B supplement

its up to you having a healthy diet-- have alot of protien in it this helps grow hair faster, stronger and healthier.
keep yourdelf in the sun, the sun helps grow hair faster
take a women's multivitamin. it has biotin (sp?) in it which helps hair grow quicker. also, since hair is protein, eat good protein.
Scalp massage is useless unless you do it all day, don;t waste you time, and no product can help either. Your options are pretty slim; even if you do everything you are supposed to you may not see an increase in growth. Hair isn't alive and it doesn't grow. Hair is an accumulation of a protein called keratin inside the follicle. As it builds up on the bottom it is pushed out the top, creating ';hair growth';.
This is a biological process so nothing that you do to your hair, like trimming it or using some ';special'; shampoo can help. Eat a healthy, protein rich diet and take a regular multivitamin daily. Since hair is protein, eating foods rich in protein like peanut butter, eggs, and fish can help to accelerate growth.
So no shampoo (including Mane nTail!) conditioner, oil, or product can, in any way, accelerate hair growth. Hair growth is almost entirely genetic, and a little bit diet, so all that you can do it change your diet. Split ends cause breakage on the bottom of your hair, not at the base. Hair is an inanimate strand of protein, nothing that you do to the bottom if it can have any effect on the top of it.
So again, trimming your hair has no effect on growth! Hair does not grow from the ends, it grows from the root! Hair growth is entirely biological and has nothing to do with the hair that you already have, so having healthy hair DOES NOT mean that it will grow faster. If you want healthy hair, avoid heat at all costs and get a salon quality shampoo and conditioner, wash the conditioner out with cold water, but this will have no effect on growth.
