You're probably going to have to buy some new products, but you can find cheap and decent stuff locally. My fav gel is LA Looks sport look and underneath I like L'oreal out of bed instant texturizer (it actually helps smooth and de-frizz) which comes in a black tub. For conditioners try suave naturals, or aubrey organics honeysuckle at Wild Oats is really good.

Here are some basic tips for curly hair that you might find helpful:

*Try to find a stylist who knows how to work with curly hair. You can find ratings here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlsalons

*Don't shampoo every day.

*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.

*Never use a brush, only a comb or better yet fingers, when wet.

*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair

*Use styling products suited for your hair type. Don鈥檛 know yours? http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

*Avoid terrycloth towels; use microfiber or tshirts instead.

*Air dry or use a diffuser with your blowdryer.

*Don't touch your hair while it鈥檚 drying.

For specific products for your hair type you might want to explore the forums at:

There you can find others with the same hair type and try out some of their favorite products. So that鈥檚 really useful.

Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I used to almost never wear it down (it was a frizz/poof ball), but now I have pretty, shiny curls. ~:) It鈥檚 pretty radical鈥攏o sulfates (shampoo) or silicones鈥攂ut it鈥檚 so great for curly hair. Give it a shot and check it out:

This is what i do but just different product so ill explain.

I wash my hair at night an sleep on my hair while it drys and it defines the curls.

1. when you get out of the shower try not to separate the pattern of your curls so try not brushing it(if not its fine)and put in the condoning cream.

2. either the gel or curl cream.

3. then the flawless finishing cream.

4 in the morning i would spray the frizz spray to make sure you don't have frizzes and protect your hair threw out the day.

there you go

GOOD LUCK!

Ditch all the the creams and goo's - they're too heavy and often deposit a lot of oil into your scalp.

Stick with light weight mousse if you're wanting more of a larger loose curl like Swift's. The gels work better for tighter curls when used on wet hair.

I'd suggest that after you wash your hair, towel dry it and then brush it out, and towel dry it again so that it's still kind of damp. From there, take some mousse and rub it in your hands and then run it through your hair while scrunching it. Take a wash cloth or towel and scrunch your hair with it in between scrunching it with the mousse. Don't put too much mousse in it or it'll be heavy. If you want more volume do this while you're blow drying it (on a low setting).
