except its blonde, not so shiny and i part mine on the side

my hair is usualy hopeless unless i that a shower, brush it while its wet and then let it air dry,

if i brush it when its dry it gets really poofy and it looks bad

i was wondering if i could do it any other way because its becoming a pain to take a shower every morning at 6 :(What is a good way to style curly hair?
You can try plopping the hair overnight in a sort of turban so you can shower at night:

When you brush your hair dry it's pretty damaging so I would advise not doing that. And wide toothed combs are generally easier to detangle with.

Here are some basic tips for curly hair that you might find helpful:

*Try to find a stylist who knows how to work with curly hair. You can find ratings by region here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlsalons

*Don't shampoo every day.

*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.

*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair. Scrunch or twirl hair to achieve desired shape.

*Use styling products suited for your hair type. Don鈥檛 know yours? http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

*Avoid terrycloth towels; use microfiber or t-shirts instead.

*Air dry or use a diffuser with your blowdryer.

*Don't touch (or brush!) your hair while it鈥檚 drying.

*Once dry scrunch out any crunchy texture.

For specific products for your hair type you might also want to explore the forums at:

There you can find others with the same hair type and try out some of their favorite products. I would recommend something, but I don鈥檛 know your hair type. :)

Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I used to almost never wear it down (it was a frizz/poof ball), but now I have pretty, shiny curls. ~:) It鈥檚 pretty radical鈥攏o sulfates (shampoo) or silicones鈥攂ut it鈥檚 so great for curly hair. brush it when it is wet. and then use a curling wax or pomade.

this will keep your hair form being frizzy and in ringlets.

seperate the curls into spirals and wind them up to keep them in ringlets.
you could use hairspray or gel. or you could use a curling iron. i have hair that is poofy after i wash it and use a hairdryer. it sucks.
I have naturaly curly hair too!

I NEVER brush it, only run my hands through it when i wash it. What ive found is that once washed, scrunch towel dry it and add some serum on and crunch it in again. Scruch it then clip it with large crocodile-like clips. I go to bed with my hair wet but try not to sleep on it in a way that will go flat.

In the morning i take the clips out and it gives me perfect ringlets. I like a slight side parting and i also have a fringde that looks really cute when pined back with a nice clip. My hair is slightly layered too and softened at the fornt so it doesnt look too harsh.

Oh and also i find that showers actually make my hair go frizzy and flat too. i think its the pressure of the water, it makes my hair go into flat curls. I would recommend baths instead and wash your hari upside down. Sounds silly but it really makes a difference for me!

but i would defo recommend clipping it up wet and letting it dry naturally. It makes a huge difference.

hope this helps (:
I have curly blonde hair, I am also a hair stylist.

The cardinal rule of curls is to never brush them! You must use a fine tooth comb instead.

Here is step by step how I style my hair that I get many compliments on ( I realize that sounds snotty but that's not how I mean it.)

1. Wash it, use PLENTY of conditioners, as curly hair is naturally more dry that straight hair.

2. Do NOT wrap it in a towel, this creates frizz.

3. Comb your hair with a fine tooth comb. You can blot it dry with paper towels or even a clean cotton t shirt.

4. Apply moose from roots to end and scrunch it in your hands.

5. Allow hair to dry for maybe 5 mins, enough time for the moose to begin sculpting the hair.

6. Blow dry your hair using a diffuser ( the most important tool for curls) with your head upside down while spraying it with spray gel. DO NOT RUN YOUR HANDS through your hair, this creates frizz.

7. Once your hair is 100% dry apply a spray hairspray ( no aerosol.)

As far as styling I like to have it down and pin it half up with bobby pins, creating lots of volume of the top.

Hope this helps, dont fight your curls. Curls are beautiful!
lol i love that kinda hair! wish i had it mine is more wavy! lol but wut u do is get some styling gell and when ur hair is wet lke after u get out of the shower put the gell all through out ur hair then blow dry it! the gell gives ur hair that really pretty hollywood shine and it makes ur hair less frizzy! also if u want that really pretty hollywood shine get hair oil and put it on ur hair and blow dry! its whichever u choose both of them do about the same thing except one is less expensive(gell) and one gives u more shine (oil)! i know u said its becoming a pain to take a shower in the morning ( i used to hate it to) but it wakes u up and it gives u a pretty clean feeling and after being asleep and stuff ur face gets oil and ur more prone to getting break outs i learned that the hard way..if u take a shower every morning then u will feel and look WAY better then if u didnt! TRUST ME! lol!! I HOPE THIS HELPS! GOOD LUCK!!!

ps. srry i didnt have a way for u to do it with out taking a shower but if u put gell or oil in ur hair while it is dry it will give ur hair a dirty oily look lke when u blow dry the oil it gives it shine and not the dirty oily look and DONT put the gell in wit out blow drying that wld be a disaster!!!! and try straightning ur hair on special occasions it will give u a different look! LOL! GOOD LUCK!

;D
