Is there a way to style all over curly hair but to tone it down and make it wavy, or like. I'm not sure how to describe it but here's an example.
On American Idol, Jordin Spark's hair was kinda crazy like

How do you do this with your hair, with it still looking curly? Is it that she just straightens it then curls it?

she probalby puts leave-n-conditoner n it and then scrunches it
