I have major Shirley Temple spirals- except they frizz and act up all the time! It drives me crazy even, especially since I try to use sports gel to hold it down. I've tried Sun silk waves of envy but not too much help there. The shampoos and conditioners for curly hair don't work very well either. Any tips? How do you style curly hair?
I have curly hair and use bed head shampoo and conditioner. Then I put gel and mousse in when my hair is soaking wet. Then, I use Aussie Sprunch spray (it's my secret weapon). Scrunch with your hand, and then dry completely with a diffuser. The difusser helps tame the frizz. It sounds like a lot of product...but it really works and will keep the frizziness to a minimum. How do you style curly hair?
I squeeze water out of my hair when I wash it instead of rubbing it dry, and then with my fingers I put in leave in conditioner (sunsilk captivating curls ) and then gel specially for curly hair (la bella Lots of Curls styling gel). Then I finger comb it and don't touch it again until it air drys (I usually sleep with it wet spread out on my pillow). Sometimes I put more gel on in the morning, and I don't ever brush it dry.
The most important thing is to not use a hair dryer unless it's got a diffuser, and to not do anything that is going to separate the natural curls (like brush it).
I have super curly hair that gets really frizzy at times, too. But then my friend introduced me to a product called It's A Ten and it works amazingly. I use it when I get out of the shower, and spray some on, and brush through it to distribute it evenly. I even use it when I'm done swimming, because it's really good at detangling, as well. Also, my hair feels softer than before. I really love it.
Here's a website that has it:

Search on google for other sites that have it, too, although your local beauty shop or drug store should carry it, also. Good luck!! I hope I helped. :)
